Objectives:
- It will increase the life-skills of the candidates and prepare them as porter of culture. Kids are the seeds of the future and therefore our schools will become the pond of tomorrow’s India. Kala Utsav will support in understanding and identifying diverse intangible and tangible cultural expressions.
- Kala Utsav is not a onetime pursuit but the starting of a full process of identifying showcasing, practicing, exploring, understanding, and evolving the artistic experience. Once chunk of the process, the candidates will not just perform pieces from their living cultures only, rather they will live that traditional experience while documenting online art activity as slice of their Kala Utsav entry.
- The participation in the e-projects for Utsav do involve exploration of numerous resources for documenting and researching. This in turn would enhance team work and collaboration rather than rely on individual resources or means.
- Divide the stage collectively by girls, boys, students with special requirements and students from disadvantaged groups will be a forerunner in breaking numerous existing stereotypes.
- Students with special requirements will discover an added chance to express their hidden talents through this lead. This will further offer them an chance to share the limelight with their skilled counterparts and the hidden flair of these students will surface from laboring class to the national level. Their participation would start up a multiplier effect and will serve as a source of motivation for others to follow later.
Kala Utsav Competitions 2021 Schedule: Kala Utsav is an initiative of the MHRD to enhance arts in education by showcasing and nurturing the artistic flair of school students at the secondary stage in the nation.
Our country is a melting pot of many traditions and vibrant culture! Because of NCERT’s Kala Utsav, students from across the country came together to celebrate the beauty in nation multiplicity via beautiful performances.
Kala Utsav 2021 must be assembled to dig up the concealed creativity in 10th and 9th class students of all schools in all districts. As in the past, this year too, MEOs will be offering this Utsav. In this regard, the teachers of the respective schools must hearten the students to register online by the 10-12-2021. The competitions involve sculpture, painting, visual arts, dance, music, traditional games and doll making.

Names should be registered for the Art Festival (Kala Utsav). As per the NCF rules, the Central Gov. is organizing competitions in different disciplines under the name ‘Kala Utsav 2021’ as it does every year to dig up the hidden creativity in 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th class students.
This timeline the competition is being managed online in 9 categories. Each category do have 18 participants from each area, one boy and one girl. Those who show skills in this will be choosen at the state level. MEOs must take steps to involve girls and boys in different subjects.

Eligibility for Kala Utsav
Teams of students from classes 12th, 11th, 10th and 9th of any Govt and Aided schools/collages. Visual Arts Visual Arts State would chose the good teams for taking part at the National Level and given suggestions as follows :
- District: This is the foremost level of Kala Utsav, where all schools do send their entries. (If suitable, the State may select to have Kala Utsav at block level or tehsil).
- State:Selected teams from the District level will participate at this phase.
- National: This is the come to a climax level of Utsav where good of the UT/State entries will display their talent

Kala Utsav at the National Level
- National Level Kala Utsav shall be arranged in December at National Bal Bhavan, New Delhi.
