Women Headed Families Empowerment Scheme Key Points

• Girls or women who walk sweet home alone support the family structure and it is challenging to complete both ends under this program.
• The program will concentrate on empowering women who are the sole earners of the family or the sole runners of the family.
• The plan has been decided in the Cabinet of Punjab and will be established by the state government for the gain of women.
• According to an estimate, about numerous lakh women of the punjab will profit from the successful execution of the program. Therefore, it is housed in about lakhs of households, in which women make decisions or earn.
• Punjab state government evaluated and allocated rs 1771.1 crore on annual along with rs 5 crore to finish up IEC activities and help families of punjab.
• The successful launch of the program will support women achieve better dignity and good health facilities, education, security in the Punjab.
• The Punjab needs to launch such programs as part of plans to empower women in the state, who want inexpensive support to run their family when they are the only earning user in the family parameter.

• Only divorced, widowed, separated or unmarried women can register to avail the profits of the program.
