TikTok is testing a repost feature that can allow you to post appropriate videos to share on your friends’ pages. It is an indisputable way for users to edit videos for their fans – as well as the action associated with TikTok precursor Vine.
The notable difference between revine and TikTok redistribution is that redistribution is limited to mutuals. Larger accounts are not able to make a quick profit by blasting spam reshares — even if the account has millions of followers, the only people who see the reshave of accounts the creator follows (usually a few hundred or thousands).

Since the Repost button is in the test phase, only a small number of users are currently able to access the new feature. TikTok is testing its version of a Twitter retweet by adding a new “Repost” button that allows users to promote videos in the area by sharing them with their fans. But TikTok is trying to solve this problem by making its Repost button work differently than “revine” – at least for now. That means you will never see the recommendations of the great creator unless that creator for some reason also follows you, too. By limiting recommendations to mutuals, TikTok combats potential risks from co-creators. But it also limits the ability to re-create content to gain a significant number of new views – such as when re-shared by a popular creator, for example.
